Welcome to the Texas Paranormal Research Organization website. This group was founded and began operations January 2nd of 2006. We are a small group of adults, based in Central Texas, whose members have background in paranormal type activity, assisting in gathering and publishing of stories used in several books, knowledge of EMF, Infrared, RF, tape & digital recording, photography, and other technical equipment through our years of employment in related industries which involves this equipments use. We are also Christian based, and have a Pastor as a member.

* We make no claims of being able to rid your location of ghosts, perform exorcisms, or anything else to that effect. We simply investigate possibilities with a skeptical approach, and attempt to debunk all simple explanations. We then consider the paranormal as an answer. However, we must first convince ourselves before we would want to try to convince anyone else of any paranormal activity. Therefore, you need to have an open mind. There are people with preconceived notions, and insist their location is haunted before we ever arrive, and can get down right mad if anyone tells them differently. While that is their God given right, we will give an honest, objective opinion upon completion of an investigation, and you may take it as you wish.

We limit the number of investigative staff on a visit to 6. Our goal is to investigate activities of unexplained nature discreetly, for businesses, residents, and other areas, and then document and report our findings. However, we do not care for any public exposure like many groups seem to be seeking. Our vehicles are not marked, nor do we go around wearing black shirts with logos on them, sell items on our site, etc. We have numerous local businesses lined up that are having activity, most of which want no public knowledge, and we prefer to stick with the lesser known locations, rather than the ones worn out and posted all over the internet.

** Our goal is simply to attempt to obtain evidence of a lingering form of life after death so to speak. We feel that the human spirit and soul is such a powerful thing, and has so much emotion within it, that even after death, when the body ceases to exist and function, the energy of the mind, or spirit of the soul lingers on in this world to some extent. While the Bible says the soul moves on for judgement, it appears that either a percentage of all human energy, or possibly certain beings are left here in this world or plane, to carry on for some reason. Some would say angels, some would say evil persons that are banished from heaven, others say it is simply souls with unfinished business that refused to "cross over", or persons that died very quickly and don't realize they are dead, or that died a violent death and want to remain to help solve their case, or even haunt the guilty party or location. There are many theories to hauntings and paranormal activity. Our desire is simply to obtain evidence of this lingering energy or presence. We do not declare a location "haunted", but simply provide any evidence collected, and declare a location to have "activity". **

*** We make no outlandish claims of making absolute findings that a location is "haunted". Any group that does should be avoided. Sadly, there are MANY groups in existence that claim to have experience, but truly know very little. Very few people actually can say they know most everything about the paranormal. The majority of the study is simply theory and speculation, and we certainly do not claim to master the subject. Like the medical field, it is a never ending study. Like most groups, we have a wide array of ever improving technical equipment, and are always testing new theories with it. Acquiring correlating evidence with this equipment assists in determining the level and amount of activity that may be occuring.

Please keep in mind that while "poltergeist" activity can occur in some cases, it is not always a ghostly event. There are documented cases of disturbed children and teens, having deep emotional issues within their life, and they are actually creating the movement of objects, usually unknowingly. Other rare cases can be demonic type entities, which we do not recommend anyone tamper with. The Roman Catholic church best deals with the evil entities, but one would have to discreetly seek them out for help. Otherwise, tampering with something evil can be a very dangerous thing to do, for all parties involved, especially the person having to live on the location. BEWARE groups that would want to tamper with such a case.

We may anonymously publish findings from investigations, but nothing will be divulged that would expose the names or locations unless it is approved by the parties involved. While we have a broad spectrum of personal interests involving urban myths and legends, they are outside of the main purpose of this groups interests. But one may inquire about them.

Please note that we do not charge for any services, and all equipment is bought out of pocket. (Any group who does ask for or hint at wanting money for their services should be avoided.) We are all normal working people with families, and also have other hobbies. That being said, we certainly welcome any donations that come our way, but would never expect or ask for anything. We are not a 501c3 non profit, and gain zero income from this venture. We do this as a public service to help others, and an enjoyment and interest of the science of the subject.

Please don't hesitate to contact us with anything you may have going on. We would be happy to discuss things with you, and hopefully find a resolution, or at least an explanation that may ease your mind and nerves. Many things that seem spooky initially can be explained with sometimes surprising causes.
