May 28, 2008 Bruce Tower
Bruce is being released from the hospital today after 17 days at the VA hospital in Temple.
Yesterday, the tests results came back that his urine and blood cultures were clear of bacteria. He is out of the woods right now and very happy to be coming home.
Bruce and I would like to express our thanks for your prayers, cards, calls and support during this time. Bruce received a visit from Linda Saupp's niece who brought a care package of cookies, games, magazines. Marti Powell visited and brought another care package. Peggy Lampkin stopped in to visit and left a gift from the "Guardian Angels" which was very much appreciated. Ann Bryd was in Temple to have lunch with her daughter and asked if she would bring her to the hospital to visit Bruce. Bruce has known Ann for years and she is retired from the insurance agency.
We are so grateful for your prayers and support. Bruce has had a long battle with cancer, bladder and kidney failure and these bacteria issues. He has a strong faith and keeps on fighting. I am truly blessed to have such wonderful FIWT sisters. Fondly, Carol

July 16, 2007 Virginia Redford, MAL I have just returned to work after a month off. I had another stroke, was hospitalized a few days, than on bed rest a few weeks. Better now but still trying to get my strength back. Still blessed as no lingering effects after a week or two. My speech was greatly affected this time but I forced myself to overcome that. This one hit my left side, whereas the last one hit my right side. Larry and I are like the blind leading the blind. He is really hanging in there. Thanks for all your prayers for him. Love you, Virginia Redford. Member at Large, Odessa Virginia Redford, ACSR, CISR
May 31, 2007 Frances Rhodes Please keep Frances Rhodes a member of the Austin Association of Insurance Professional in your prayers. Dusty her husband past away early this morning. He was in his early 50's and apparently died of a heart attack
May 22, 2007 SALLY DOWNS (update). Please let everyone know that Sally is in quarantine with a contagious bowel infection. PLEASE remember her in your prayers. Her # is 801-517-6304. She really needs us now. Thanks and will see you Original post: (April 2007): HOPE TO HAVE MORE INFO FOR YOU ALL MONDAY BUT INFORMATION WE HAVE SO FAR IS THAT SALLY'S CONDITION IS STABLIZED BUT SHE IS STILL IN THE HOSPITAL (SAME HOSPITAL WHERE SHE HAD THE SURGERY). WHEN RELEASED FROM THE HOSPITAL, SHE WOULD BE GOING BACK TO THE SAME REHAB CENTER WHERE SHE WAS. DR. WHO DID SURGERY WANTED TO BE ABLE TO FOLLOW UP ON HER PT AND DIDN'T WANT HER TO COME BACK TO SAN ANTONIO UNTIL SHE HAD FINISHED THAT. SEEMS LIKE THIS HOSPITALIZATION WAS DUE TO A BLOOD CLOT. PLEASE KEEP SALLY IN YOUR PRAYERS. WE WILL LET YOU KNOW ABOUT CARDS NEXT WEEK.
